Softball Overview
SWA Softball is a recreational association that competes in the Williamson County Parks and Recreation League. We offer competitive softball opportunities for girls ages 4–13, with spring and fall seasons each year.
Our program focuses on learning the fundamentals, building skills, and developing confidence in a positive, encouraging environment. Above all, we emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and having fun while learning the game of softball.
Games will be played at the fields listed below.

Softball Equipment Guidelines
All player equipment must meet ASA (USA Softball) standards. This includes, but is not limited to: bats, balls, gloves, batting helmets, face masks, shoes, and catcher’s gear. Any equipment deemed unsafe or damaged may be removed from play at the umpire’s discretion.

Important Note About Bats
Please review WCPR bat regulations before purchasing a bat. Most sporting goods stores do not allow returns once the bat’s packaging has been removed. If you are unsure about bat size or specifications, consult your child’s coach and review the WCPR rules carefully.
Bat Selection Guidelines (General Rule of Thumb)
Bat Weight
Your child should be able to hold the bat with their dominant arm extended straight out in front of them, gripping the bat horizontally, without difficulty.
Bat Length
Have your child stand the bat upright with the barrel on the ground. The knob of the bat should reach the palm of their hand.
